निर्वाचन आयोगले भरतपुर महानगरपालिका वडा नम्बर १९ को पुनः मतदान गर्ने निर्देशन दिएपछि भरतपुरमा राजनीतिक तरंग छाएको छ । (भिडियो )
Election Commission on Saturday decided to conduct re-election at ward no. 19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan district. A meeting of EC took such decision based on a report prepared by a probe team comprising of Office of the Chief Election Officer, Chitwan District Election Office and representatives of Election Commission.
The vote counting in the metropolis has been on halt after 90 ballots were torn allegedly by CPN (Maoist Centre) cadres. Following the incident, the electoral alliance of Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) had been demanding re-election in the metropolis while CPN-UML had demanded continuance of the vote counting.
