Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed the chiefs of security bodies to maintain a high level of security for upcoming local level election.
PM Dahal summoned chiefs of four security bodies and also enquired about the current security scenario. Dahal’s secretariat said security bodies chief said they were capable to maintain the security to hold the upcoming election in free and fair manner.
Chief of Army Staff Rabindra Chhetri, Inspector General of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal, Armed Police Force Inspector General Singha Bahadur Shrestha and Central Bureau of Investigation chief Dilip Regmi had reached PM’s residence in Baluwatar after PM’s summon.
Government has announced May 14 as the date for local bodies election. But the agitating Madhesi Morcha has announced protest programmes, beginning from Tuesday, to disrupt the polls.
