Shristi Shrestha born in Narayangarh, Chitwan is a Nepali actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder, who was the winner of Miss Nepal 2012.Shrestha won the coveted title, beating 16 other contestants.She represented Nepal in Miss World 2012 which was held on August 18, 2012 in Inner Mongolia, China.
Shristi represented her hometown of Chitwan during Miss Nepal 2012 beauty pageant as Miss Chitwan 2012. She went on to win the main title of Miss Nepal World 2012 alongside, Miss Confidence title.
She is the first Miss Nepal to reach to the quarter finals (20th Place) of the Miss World. Although she finished 20th in the entire Miss World pageant, she was able to achieve the 8th position in Beach Beauty and was one of the top 10 contestants for the Multimedia Award. She also won the ‘Public Choice award’ during the Miss world pageant.[3] She has been placed as Top 10 Dancers in Miss World 2012.
She debuted in Nepali movieGajalu opposite Anmol K.C. She debuted her theatre career with the role of ‘Ophelia’ in Shakespeare ‘Hamlet’, which ran for a month in the ‘Theatre Village’ in Kathmandu. The play was organised by the British Council, and was directed by Gregory Thomson, a renowned name in the theatre scene of Shakespeare plays in London.
